FORTIFYING THE LOCAL SAFETY NET
◉
We forged alliances with local businesses to scale school supply drives, resource distributions, and youth afterschool meals. Through these partnerships, Lone Star also launched a community pantry, hosted back-to-school events, and coordinated mental health enrollment sessions for local families. Maintaining a safe space for youth remained our focus as we stabilized overhead costs, kept unit furnished, and maintained relationships with stakeholders.
(Note: Lone Star efforts transitioned into The Quiet Place Gardens in 2025.)
